Rex Nettleford entered the University College of the West Indies in 1953, an except for three formative years in which, as a rhodes Scholar writing his MPhil in Political Science at Oriel College in Oxford, he caught the curious eyes of Isaiah Berlin, he has never left. He has made Mona his home, the site of his reading and research, his writing and teaching, the nursery of the bold ideas germinated in his creative imagination.
