The globalization of the health care industry is being driven by the high cost of health care in developed countries compounded by the increasing availability at less expensive rates in developing countries. Jamaica’s proximity to North America, coupled with its ability to provide world-class services and facilities at internationally competitive prices in several fields of treatment, gives it an additional advantage in meeting the rapidly growing demand for health care.
