Sociology for Caribbean Students Vol. I: Society and Culture has been written specifically to satisfy the syllabus requirements of the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and in particular the unit Sociology Society and Culture. The text is divied into three sections: -Module 1: Sociology, Culture and Identity -Module 2: Social InstitutionsL Family, Religion and Education -Module 3: Social Stratification and Social Mobility Each module opens with general and specific objectives wtih which students need to be familiar. The text follows the structure of the CAPE syllabus (Unit One) in a student-friendly format, catering to the needs of beginners and intermediate sociology students and includes activities to aid in the understanding of issues discussed.
